About Prizavento

Design that works on screen, not just in mockups

Prizavento is a mobile UX/UI design studio based in Port Macquarie. We work with businesses across Australia on apps that need to be clear, functional, and genuinely pleasant to use — not just visually polished.

Started with a specific frustration

In 2014, the people behind Prizavento kept running into the same problem: mobile apps that looked great in a pitch deck but fell apart the moment a real user touched them. Navigation that assumed too much prior knowledge. Screens that worked on desktop browsers but broke on a 5-inch display. Forms that took eleven taps to complete something that should have taken three.

The studio formed around the idea that good mobile UX is mostly about removing things — unnecessary steps, ambiguous labels, screens that exist because someone thought they should rather than because a user needs them. That discipline is harder than it sounds, and it requires people who are comfortable saying no to a feature request when the data says it adds friction.

Today we work with product teams, internal IT departments, and independent founders across the country. The problems are different; the approach is the same.

How we work

A process built around decisions, not deliverables

Most design processes produce artefacts. Ours produces decisions — about what belongs in the product, what order it should happen in, and what to cut when scope tightens.

01

Understand the actual task

Before touching Figma, we spend time with the people who will use the product. Not through surveys — through structured task analysis sessions that surface what users are actually trying to accomplish versus what a brief says they want. The difference is usually significant.

02

Map flows before screens

Screen-first design produces beautiful dead ends. We map every user journey as a flow diagram first — identifying branch points, error states, and the moments where users are most likely to abandon — before a single screen layout is drawn.

03

Test with low fidelity, iterate fast

Clickable prototypes go in front of real users within the first two weeks. We use unmoderated remote sessions so we can test on actual devices, not a MacBook with a resized browser window. Findings feed directly into the next iteration.

04

Hand off with context, not just files

Developers receive annotated specs, interaction notes, and a short written rationale for every non-obvious design decision. This cuts back-and-forth during implementation and means the finished product behaves the way the design intended.

The people involved

Small team, clear responsibilities

Six people work on client projects at Prizavento. No account managers sitting between you and the designers. The person you brief is the person who does the work.

Aurelie Fontaine

Lead UX Designer

Aurelie has been designing mobile flows since before flat design was a thing. She runs the research phase and is responsible for flow architecture on every project.

Dmitri Vasiliev

UI & Visual Design

Dmitri handles the visual layer — component systems, typography, colour, and the small details that make an interface feel considered rather than assembled.

Siobhan Quilty

Prototyping & Testing

Siobhan builds and runs the usability sessions. She writes the test scripts, recruits participants, and produces the findings report that shapes the next design iteration.
