Technical infrastructure behind mobile UX/UI design

Prizavento operates a structured design system built for mobile-first product teams. Every project runs through a defined pipeline — from discovery to developer handoff — with tooling and process that scales across iOS, Android, and cross-platform targets.

What the design system covers

Component library structure

All UI elements are built as reusable components with defined states — default, hover, active, disabled, error. The library follows atomic design principles and is maintained in Figma with versioned releases tied to product milestones.

Prototype fidelity tiers

Projects move through three prototype tiers: low-fidelity flow maps for stakeholder alignment, mid-fidelity clickable screens for usability testing, and high-fidelity animated prototypes for final approval before development begins.

Platform-specific guidelines

Design decisions follow Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design where appropriate, then diverge based on product requirements. Deviations are documented so developers understand the intent behind non-standard patterns.

Handoff and annotation

Every screen delivered for development includes spacing annotations, typography tokens, colour references, and interaction notes. Handoff files export directly from Figma with inspect-ready specs, reducing back-and-forth between design and engineering.

Token-based design decisions

Colour, spacing, radius, and typography values are stored as named tokens rather than hard-coded values. This means a single update to the token propagates across every component, making large-scale visual changes manageable without manual rework.

Research integration points

User research findings are linked directly to design decisions in the project file. When a pattern is questioned during review, the team can trace it back to the session note or test result that informed it — keeping rationale visible throughout the project lifecycle.

How a project moves through the system

Each phase has defined outputs and a clear handoff condition before the next begins. Nothing moves forward without meeting that condition.

Tooling and remote delivery

Prizavento has operated as a fully distributed design practice since 2014. Projects are delivered to clients across Australia without requiring on-site presence at any stage. The tooling stack is chosen to support asynchronous collaboration without losing fidelity in communication.

  • Figma as the single source of truth for all design files, shared with client stakeholders in view or edit mode depending on project phase
  • Loom recordings for design walkthroughs, replacing synchronous meetings where time zones make scheduling difficult
  • Structured feedback rounds with defined response windows, preventing open-ended revision cycles from stalling delivery
  • Version history maintained across every major design decision, so earlier directions can be revisited if requirements shift
